About us
Matt and Ken are a father and son team with years of experience handling all levels of koi. Many of you may recognize us from the koi show scene or from our article in Koi Talk magazine. For the last 20 years we have been passionate hobbyists of all things Koi. However, the last decade has seen us devoted to our koi breeding project where we set out to breed high level Koi right here in the UK to compete at Koi shows. Our show career spanned about 8 years but in this time I feel we achieved a lot with placements at every show and some major awards. Our awards included
baby champion, young champion, adult champion, jumbo champion and, my personal favourite, a best in size 3 overall with a home bred Koi, I think a first ever in the UK show scene. We have loved every minute of breeding and showing and will really miss competing at shows in particular. Now, we are hoping to use what we have learnt from the koi shows and breeding into selecting you the very best Koi for your money. We firmly believe that
breeding Koi really has given us a great depth of knowledge and experience in body types and Beni plates that we wouldn't of gained as a normal hobbyist. Our sole aim is to use this skill and knowledge to
select some quality Japanese Koi to offer to you and, by having our facilities at home, can keep the costs as low as possible for you.
A Commitment to Health
All of our koi go through a cefas approved quarantine period either from our suppliers or by ourselves before they are released for sale so you can buy with confidence.
